Dance with Ms. Gryzik

            I am very pleased to join I.S. 145Q this year as your child’s dance teacher! I’d like to begin by telling you a bit about myself. I graduated CUNY Queens College with a Bachelors degree in Dance and Masters degree in Education. I have implemented dance curriculum in other NYC public schools, established after school dance programs, and continue to teach at private dance studios and summer camps in the Queens and Long Island areas. I am fluent in American Sign Language and often incorporate it into my dancing and teaching techniques. I can’t wait to teach some of it to your children as well!

            The purpose of the dance program is to help children understand why it is important and how we can connect it to our every day learning and lives. We’ll learn about the origins of cultural dances, the history of important dance influencers and techniques, learn how to express ourselves, improvise and choreograph, and of course, perform some amazing shows for our community!

           I am excited to share my passion for dance with your children, especially in this wonderful school. Thank you in advance for your support!
