Highly Esteemed Parents/Guardians:
It is my hope that you are well and safe. I want to thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support as we continue to work collaboratively to provide our students with a safe and nurturing academic environment for school year 2020-2021. As stated today by Mayor DeBlasio and Chancellor Carranza, school opening for students in the Blended Learning Model has been postponed until October 1.
Despite the decision to delay the school opening for in-person learning, we want you to rest assured that all our students will receive “live” instruction every school day for every subject until October 1. Students who opted for Fully Remote instruction will have the opportunity to change their program choice every quarter as per DOE. Please ensure your child is logging into Google Classroom every day to connect with their teachers as indicated in their class schedule which can be found on the I.S. 145 website under the student tab. If your child has any difficulty logging into Google Classroom, please email your child’s teacher immediately for assistance.
We are working diligently to ensure every child has access to a working device. If your child does not have a device at home, please click here to request a device.
Thank you for being our partners in education, and please continue to support our children in connecting with their teachers everyday as indicated in their class schedule.
In Honor,
Mr. Ivan Rodriguez, Principal
